23 villages in the Flemish Ardennes and Dender region joined forces and created the Streekmotor23 Foundation to support local initiatives in this region.
The foundation wants to position itself as an innovator and a facilitator for local initiatives. On top of that, it wants to stimulate local engagement and provide initiatives with the necessary funds to realize their objectives.

How we engage their crowd?
The foundation offers initiatives the opportunity to set up a crowdfunding campaign on a dedicated platform. Every project has a specific goal between 3,500 and 6,000 euros – when the goal is achieved, the foundation doubles the amount.
The crowdfunding mindset allows projects to tell their story through a strong digital tool that gives them visibility and a new digital identity. It also allows them to grow and strengthen their existing services, and besides the financial injection, initiatives also recruit new volunteers & recurrent donors on the long term.
The foundation brings together ideas, people and resources to support local initiatives.
